Self-tapping screws made of steel, stainless steel or bi-metal are fasteners for fixing
metal profiles to corresponding substructures. Self-tapping screws produce
their nut thread without cutting by deforming the material. A general
distinction is made between self-drilling screws and screws without a drill
point. The described self-tapping screws are made of stainless steel of
different corrosion resistance classes. Depending on the requirements and
material, they are provided with a lubricant. Furthermore, depending on the
application, they are equipped with a corresponding sealing washer made of
steel or stainless steel and EPDM sealing rubber (ethylene-propylene-diene
rubber).
